0002| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR HAWTHORNE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF

0005| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0006|      Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-two thousand five hundred
    |
0007| sixty-four dollars ($32,564) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0008| the local government division of the department of finance and
    |
0009| administration for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of
    |
0010| implementing a gang and drug intervention pilot program for high-risk
    |
0011| students at Hawthorne elementary school in the city of Albuquerque that
    |
0012| will foster achievement, motivation and educational aspiration.  Any
    |
0013| unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year
    |
0014| 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
