    Your RULES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 6

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 24, strike "three" and insert in lieu thereof "five".

    2. On page 1, line 25, after "terms", insert ", subject to confirmation by the senate".

    3. On page 2, line 1, strike "and" and insert in lieu thereof ", the minority floor leader of the senate,".

    4. On page 2, line 2, after "representatives", insert "and the minority floor leader of the house of representatives".

    5. On page 2, line 3, after the period, strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 4 through 8 in their entirety and strike line 9 through the period and insert in lieu thereof:

    "No more than three members of the commission shall be of the same political party. For the initial appointment of commission members, the member appointed by the governor shall be appointed for a term of two years, the members appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives and the minority floor leader of the senate shall be appointed for terms of four years and the members appointed by the president pro tempore of the senate and the minority floor leader of the house of representatives shall be appointed for terms, of six years."

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
