Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE BILL 169, as amended
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. Strike Senate Conservation Committee Amendment 4.
2. On page 1, line 16, after the semicolon, insert "CLARIFYING FUND USAGES;"
3. On page 1, line 17, strike "; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION".
4. On page 2, line 4, strike "only".
5. On page 2, line 23, strike "and".
6. On page 3, line 6, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof "; and".
7. On page 3, between lines 6 and 7, insert:
"(4) "technical assistance" pursuant to this subsection shall not include compliance procedures conducted by the state parks division of the energy, minerals and natural resources department on behalf of the applicants for the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, processing of permits, producing geographic information systems data, conducting project planning, developing designs or engaging, contracting or directing project management.".
8. On page 3, line 13, strike "only".
9. On page 3, line 15, after "cost", insert ", except that funds may be made available to provide assistance with compliance with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and related project pre-clearances".
10. On page 3, strike lines 21 through 25 and on page 4, strike lines 1 and 2.
