    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 159

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, between lines 14 and 15, insert:

         "D. On July 1, 2024, a distribution shall be made from the trust fund to the higher education program fund in an amount equal to forty-seven million nine hundred fifty thousand dollars ($47,950,000).".

    2. Reletter succeeding subsections accordingly.

    3. On page 2, line 15, strike "of each year" and insert in lieu thereof ", 2025 and each July 1 thereafter".

    4. On page 3, line 1, strike "Subsection D" and insert in lieu thereof "Subsections D and E".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
