AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT FOR SCHOOL SAFETY STATEWIDE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five million dollars ($25,000,000) is appropriated from the public school capital outlay fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2024 for school safety statewide. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2024 shall revert to the public school capital outlay fund.
