    Your TAX, BUSINESS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 207

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 13, after the first occurrence of "the", strike the remainder of the line, strike line 14 up to the comma and insert in lieu thereof "human services department".

    2. On page 3, line 15, strike "division" and insert in lieu thereof "department".

    3. On page 3, line 18, after the first occurrence of "the", strike the remainder of the line, strike line 19 in its entirety and strike line 20 up to "designee" and insert in lieu thereof "secretary of human services or the secretary's".

    4. On page 3, line 25, after "services", insert "and other federal funds and grants".

    5. On page 4, between lines 1 and 2, insert the following:

         "C. Applications for a grant from the fund shall be on forms and in a manner prescribed by the human services department. Grants from the fund shall be made to counties based on need as determined by the department. If a county receives a grant pursuant to this section, the county shall report to the department on the efficacy, accountability and evidence-based outcomes of the county's alcohol and substance abuse prevention and treatment program.",

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
