AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO PROVIDE A ONE-TIME SALARY INCREASE TO CURRENT GRADUATE MEDICAL RESIDENTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the appropriation contingency fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2023 to provide a one-time salary increase to current graduate medical residents. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2023 shall revert to the appropriation contingency fund.
