HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE BILL 132, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Representative Susan K. Herrera 

    1. On page 8, line 15, after the period, insert a closing quotation mark and on pages 8 and 9, strike Subsection K in its entirety.

    2. On page 18, line 6, strike "or" and insert in lieu thereof "of".

    3. On page 18, line 11, before "a", insert "if the loan

exceeds the rate permitted by Chapter 58 NMSA 1978,".

    4. On page 39, line 22, after the period, insert a closing quotation mark and on pages 39 and 40, strike Subsection Q in its entirety.

    5. On page 42, strike lines 7 and 8 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following:

    "SECTION 14. EFFECTIVE DATE.--

         A. The effective date of the provisions of Sections 1 through 7 and 9 through 13 of this act is July 1, 2022.

         B. The effective date of the provisions of Section 8 of this act is January 1, 2023.".
