AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A GAME FENCE IN THE PUEBLO OF TAOS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred sixty thousand dollars ($460,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal years 2021 through 2023 to protect the Rio Grande Gorge bighorn sheep population from disease by contracting to construct a game fence in the Pueblo of Taos in Taos county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining shall revert to the general fund within six months of completion of the project but no later than the end of fiscal year 2023.
