    Your RULES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 367

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, line 3, strike "more than".

    2. On page 2, line 9, strike "eight" and insert in lieu thereof "nine".

    3. On page 2, lines 15 through 17, strike Subsection F in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new subsection:

         "F. no member considered for appointment shall have changed party registration in the two years preceding the member's appointment in such a manner that the member's prior party registration would make the member ineligible to serve on the commission; and a member of the commission shall not continue to serve on the commission if the member changes party registration after the date of appointment in such a manner to make the member ineligible to serve on the commission.".

    4. On page 4, line 7, strike "the".

    5. On page 4, line 8, strike "of the commission".

    6. On page 4, line 9, strike "upon majority approval of the fifteen voting members" and insert in lieu thereof "by the commission".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
