Mr. President:
Your CONSERVATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE BILL 103
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 5, line 15, after "not", strike the remainder of the line, strike line 16 up to the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof "dependent on insect pollination".
2. On page 6, line 14, strike "highly toxic".
3. On page 9, line 2, strike "an unreasonable" and insert in lieu thereof "a".
4. On page 14, line 19, strike "in an enclosed space" and insert in lieu thereof "or outside around foundations and other parts of structures".
5. On page 14, strike lines 21 and 22 in their entirety and
insert in lieu thereof the following new paragraph:
"(6) a wood preservative pesticide or wood preservative products that contain neonicotinoid class pesticides or similar pesticides used to treat wood products; or".
6. On page 15, line 3, before the period, insert "; provided that if the distributor cannot confirm the blooming or flowering plant, plant materials or seed was not treated with a neonicotinoid class pesticide, the product must have a clear and conspicuous label indicating that a neonicotinoid class pesticide may have been used and including a description of the risks to pollinators and other nontarget organisms associated with the use of neonicotinoid class pesticides before the product may be sold".
7. On page 28, line 18, after "all", insert "applicable".,
and thence referred to the TAX, BUSINESS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE.
