SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to SENATE BILL 2

Amendment sponsored by Senator William E. Sharer

    1. Strike all senate finance committee amendments.

    2. On page 3, strike lines 7 through 9 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following:

         "I. Beginning on the effective date of this 2021 act, the director shall waive the next annual renewal fee for all licenses provided for in the Liquor Control Act for businesses demonstrating that their total gross receipts from all sales during 2020 fell by fifty percent or more as reflected on the business's gross receipts tax returns. To be eligible for a fee waiver, a business shall provide information requested by the director. The taxation and revenue department shall provide verification of any information needed by the director to determine eligibility."".
