    Your LABOR, VETERANS' AND MILITARY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

 

HOUSE BILL 289

 

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

 

 

1. On page 1, line 11, after the semicolon, strike the remainder of the line and strike line 12 through the semicolon.

2. On pages 1 and 2, strike Section 1 in its entirety.

3. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.

4. On page 8, line 20, strike "and".

5. On page 9, line 1, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof "; and".

6. On page 9, between lines 1 and 2, insert the following new subparagraph:

              "(f) based on a totality of the circumstances, it is highly probable that there is a job available for the claimant in the following academic year or term. If a job offer contains a contingency, primary weight should be given to the contingent nature of the offer of employment and the totality of the circumstances must show that it is highly probable that the contingencies of that employment will be satisfied.".,
