AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE DEPARTMENT TO CREATE A PROGRAM FOR CHILD CARE CENTERS TO PURCHASE NEW MEXICO-GROWN FRUITS AND VEGETABLES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the early childhood education and care department for expenditure in fiscal year 2022 to create a program for child care centers to purchase New Mexico-grown fruits and vegetables. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2022 shall revert to the general fund.
