AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PLANNING COUNCIL TO FORM A TASK FORCE TO STUDY AND REPORT ON SUPPORTED DECISION MAKING IN NEW MEXICO AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO GUARDIANSHIP.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the developmental disabilities planning council for expenditure in fiscal year 2022 to form a task force to study and report on supported decision making in New Mexico as an alternative to guardianship. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2022 shall revert to the general fund.
