    Your STATE GOVERNMENT, ELECTIONS AND INDIAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

 

HOUSE BILL 13

 

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

 

    1. On page 1, line 13, before the period, insert "; REQUIRING GUIDANCE FOR HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY".

 

    2. On page 1, line 18, strike "SERVICES FOR ALIENS" and insert in lieu thereof "PROGRAM FOR NON-CITIZENS".

 

    3. On page 2, line 19, after "D.", strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 20 and 21 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof "Covered services".

 

    4. On page 3, line 3, after "co-infections", insert "as determined by the department".

 

    5. On page 3, line 4, before the semicolon, insert "and such services shall be covered for the duration of the federal or state public health emergency".

 

    6. On page 3, line 12, before "emergency", insert "the", and on line 13, strike "services" and insert in lieu thereof "program".

 

    7. On page 3, line 16, before "emergency", insert "the" and strike "services" and insert in lieu thereof "program".

 

    8. On page 3, line 20, before "emergency", insert "the", and on line 21, strike "services" and insert in lieu thereof "program".

 

    9. On page 3, line 23, before "emergency", insert "the" and strike "services" and insert in lieu thereof "program".

 

    10. On page 4, line 3, before "emergency", insert "the" and strike "services" and insert in lieu thereof "program".

 

    11. On page 4, between lines 5 and 6, insert the following new sections:

 

    "SECTION 2. A new section of the Public Assistance Act is enacted to read:

 

    "[NEW MATERIAL] GUIDANCE TO PROVIDERS.--The department shall provide health care providers with guidance on accessing, prioritizing and maximizing available federal sources of claims reimbursement for services furnished to immunize against, evaluate or treat an emergency medical condition described in Paragraph (2)of Subsection C of Section 1 of this 2021 act."

 

    SECTION 3. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.".,
