AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR STUDENTS IN NATIVE AMERICAN STUDIES TO DEVELOP MEANINGFUL, LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIPS WITH NATIVE COMMUNITIES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2021 for students in Native American studies to develop meaningful, long-term relationships with native communities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.
