AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE THE NEW MEXICO MORTGAGE FINANCE AUTHORITY MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT YOUTH HOMELESSNESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thirteen thousand dollars ($413,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal years 2021 and 2022 to provide matching funds for the New Mexico mortgage finance authority for the three-million-three-hundred-seventy-thousand-dollar ($3,370,000) grant for a youth homelessness demonstration program grant from the United States department of housing and urban development to address youth homelessness in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2022 shall revert to the general fund.
