AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE SOUTHWEST HISPANIC RESEARCH INSTITUTE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred forty thousand dollars ($240,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2021 to fund student internships and operational support at the southwest Hispanic research institute. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.
