AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS FOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREPROSECUTION DIVERSION PROGRAM.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the district attorneys for expenditure in fiscal year 2021 to offset costs incurred for drug tests administered in the operation of preprosecution diversion programs in the judicial districts. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.
