AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO SUPPORT INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS FOR ENGINEERING STUDENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO AND NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--

          A. One hundred sixty thousand dollars ($160,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2021 to support the New Mexico state-university of New Mexico/ private sector internship program in the school of engineering at the university of New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.

          B. One hundred sixty thousand dollars ($160,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2021 to support the cooperative education and internship program for engineering students enrolled at New Mexico state university. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.
