AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR A DEMONSTRATION PROJECT TO ASSESS THE FEASIBILITY AND ACCEPTABILITY OF AN INJECTABLE OPIOID TREATMENT PROGRAM.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 2021 and 2022 for a demonstration project to assess the feasibility and acceptability of an injectable opioid treatment program at the university of New Mexico addiction and substance abuse program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2022 shall revert to the general fund.
