Mr. President:

    Your CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 8, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 3, line 7, strike "may" and insert in lieu thereof "shall, for the period ending December 31, 2020,".

    2. On page 3, line 8, after "district", insert "within twenty miles of a qualifying electric generating facility".

    3. On page 3, line 10, strike "may" and insert in lieu thereof "shall".

    4. On page 3, line 11, after "to", insert "one less than".

    5. On page 3, line 13, strike "one or more" and insert in lieu thereof "an equal number of".

    6. On page 3, line 14, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof:

"as there are appointed by the county that formed the authority. If necessary, the governing body of the county that created the district shall determine which members of the authority appointed by that body shall have their membership terminated to provide for new members to be appointed by a bordering county. If an equal number of members are appointed by multiple counties, those members shall appoint one or more members as needed to provide for an odd number of authority members.".

    7. On page 16, line 2, after "located", insert "and a bordering county within twenty miles of a qualifying electric generating facility".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
