AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HIGHER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT FOR SHARED SERVICES PROJECTS AMONG THE INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY COLLEGES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fourteen million dollars ($14,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 to fund shared services projects at independent community colleges, including back office processing projects, installation of software systems and implementation of software systems. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.
