AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR THE INCOME SUPPORT DIVISION TO PROVIDE A STATE SUPPLEMENT TO CERTAIN SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM HOUSEHOLDS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 for the income support division to provide a state supplement to all supplemental nutrition assistance program households that receive the minimum federal supplemental nutrition assistance program benefit and are not currently receiving a state supplement. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.
