AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE OR CONTRACT FOR THE PROMOTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF COOPERATIVE FORMS OF BUSINESS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal years 2019 and 2020 to provide or contract for the provision of activities to promote and develop cooperative forms of business, including providing access to training and technical assistance to create and maintain cooperative businesses. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.
