AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR TWO HIGHWAY SEGMENTS OF PASSING LANES ON STATE HIGHWAY 602.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five million dollars ($5,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal years 2020 through 2022 for design and construction of two roadway segments of passing lanes on state highway 602 between the city of Gallup and the junction with state highway 53. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2022 shall revert to the general fund.
