    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 259

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 13, after "ACT", strike the remainder of the line and strike line 14 through "APPLICANTS".

    2. On page 1, line 21, after "applicant", insert "or candidate", strike "public employment" and insert in lieu thereof "an appointive executive position".

    3. On page 2, line 12, after "non-elected", insert "chief", strike "position" and insert in lieu thereof "officer".

    4. On page 2, line 16, after "position", strike the remainder of the line, strike all of line 17 and strike line 18 through "state".

    5. On page 2, line 20, strike "the chief executive officer" and insert in lieu thereof "an appointive executive".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
