AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT TO CONTRACT WITH A NONPROFIT ENTITY TO ESTABLISH AND OPERATE A RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTER FOR CHILD VICTIMS OF SEX TRAFFICKING.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 to contract with a nonprofit entity to establish and operate a residential treatment center for child victims of sex trafficking. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.
