AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR FLOOD CONTROL PROJECTS IN VALENCIA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million seven hundred thousand dollars ($1,700,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal years 2020 and 2021 for flood control projects in Valencia county, which shall include planning, designing and constructing Reid Mae pond, Aragon pond and minor drainage appurtenances on the west side of the city of Belen. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.
