    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 84

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, lines 13 and 14, strike "PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF RULES PERTAINING TO FOOD SAFETY" and insert in lieu thereof "REQUIRING PROGRAM SUPERVISORS TO RECEIVE TRAINING".

    2. On page 1, lines 20 and 21, strike ", as defined in rules promulgated by the department,".

    3. On page 1, line 25, before the period, insert "; provided that a person who supervises that program at a senior center shall provide the aging and long-term services department with documentation showing receipt of training as provided for in Subsection C of this section".

    4. On page 2, strike lines 6 through 10 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new subsection:

         "C. A person who has been designated to supervise the planting, cultivation, growing, tending or harvesting of edible fruits and vegetables for inclusion in food service or distribution to senior participants shall receive training by the New Mexico state university college of agricultural, consumer and environmental sciences cooperative extension service, the New Mexico department of agriculture, the department of environment or any state agency that addresses the following issues:".

    5. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.

    6. On page 2, lines 13 and 14, strike "citizen facilities" and insert in lieu thereof "center premises".

    7. On page 2, lines 16 and 17, strike "citizen facilities" and insert in lieu thereof "center premises".

    8. On page 2, line 19, strike "citizen facilities" and insert in lieu thereof "center premises".

    9. On page 3, line 1, strike "citizen facilities" and insert in lieu thereof "center premises".

    10. On page 3, line 5, strike "and" and insert in lieu thereof "or".,

and thence referred to the CONSERVATION COMMITTEE.
