AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE PARKS DIVISION OF THE ENERGY, MINERALS AND NATURAL RESOURCES DEPARTMENT FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS STATEWIDE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION--STATE PARKS DIVISION OF THE ENERGY, MINERALS AND NATURAL RESOURCES DEPARTMENT PROJECTS.--

          A. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the state parks division of the energy, minerals and natural resources department for expenditure in fiscal years 2019 through 2023:

                (1) one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a self-pay kiosk system at Caballo Lake state park;

                (2) five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a water treatment system at Conchas Lake state park;

                (3) two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to refurbish and improve the dump station at Brantley Lake state park;

                (4) five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a recreational vehicle dump station at Elephant Butte Lake state park;

                (5) eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) to plan, design, construct and equip water and wastewater improvements at Elephant Butte Lake state park;

                (6) six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a group shelter at the Monticello campground and windbreaks for existing campgrounds at Elephant Butte Lake state park;

                (7) one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a self-pay kiosk system at Elephant Butte Lake state park;

                (8) five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to plan, design, construct, renovate and equip a water treatment plant, including removal and replacement of existing water treatment plant equipment, at Navajo Lake state park;

                (9) three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to plan, design, construct, renovate and equip a water pump and water pump infrastructure at Navajo Lake state park;

                (10) two million dollars ($2,000,000) to acquire land for and to plan, design, construct, equip, renovate and improve Pecos Canyon state park in San Miguel county;

                (11) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to plan, design, construct and upgrade water infrastructure at Sugarite Canyon state park;

                (12) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to plan, design, construct and equip flooding and erosion control improvements at state parks statewide;

                (13) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to plan, design, construct, renovate and equip campsite improvements at state parks statewide;

                (14) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to plan, design, construct, renovate and equip road improvements at state parks statewide;

                (15) five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to plan, design, construct, renovate, equip and install group shelters and park furnishings at state parks statewide; and

                (16) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to plan, design, renovate and equip comfort stations at state parks statewide.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance of an appropriation made for a project pursuant to this section shall revert to the general fund within six months of completion of the project, but no later than the end of fiscal year 2023.
