HOUSE BILL 204

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 2, lines 7 through 9, strike Subsection E in its entirety.

     2. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

     3. On page 2, line 12, after "includes", insert "the New Mexico state university cooperative extension service, a soil and water conservation district,".

     4. On page 2, line 16, strike "and carbon content".

     5. On page 2, line 17, strike the comma and insert in lieu thereof a semicolon and strike line 18 in its entirety.

     6. On page 2, line 22, after "health", insert "in a given environment".

     7. On page 3, line 8, after "soil", insert a semicolon and strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 9 through 20 in their entirety.

     8. On page 4, line 5, after "a", insert "soil and water conservation".

     9. On page 4, line 18, strike "carbon content,".

     10. On page 5, line 8, strike "districts,".

     11. On page 5, line 18, strike "carbon content" and insert in lieu thereof "organic matter".

     12. On page 5, line 20, after "to", insert "analyzing phospholipids and" and strike "or bare ground percentage".

     13. On page 6, line 1, strike ", districts".

     14. On page 6, line 10, strike "districts and".

     15. On page 6, line 18, strike "districts or".

     16. On page 8, line 17, strike "the districts and other".

     17. On page 8, between lines 18 and 19, insert the following new subsection:

          "F. soil health research;".

     18. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

     19. On page 8, lines 24 and 25, strike "Five million one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($5,150,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "One million one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($1,150,000)".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS & FINANCE COMMITTEE.
