    Your HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 89

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 4, line 17, strike "limited" and insert in lieu thereof "hospital-indemnity-only, limited-benefit".

     2. On page 9, line 9, strike "or limited" and insert in lieu thereof "hospital-indemnity-only, limited-benefit".

     3. On page 14, line 1, strike "limited benefit" and insert in lieu thereof "hospital-indemnity-only, limited-benefit".

     4. On page 18, between lines 22 and 23, insert the following new subsection:

     "H. The provisions of this section shall not apply to short-term travel, accident-only, hospital-indemnity-only, limited-benefit or specified disease health benefits plans.".

     5. Reletter the succeeding subsections.

     6. On page 23, line 7, strike "limited benefit" and insert in lieu thereof "hospital-indemnity-only, limited-benefit".
