AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO PLAN, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS TO THE RIO GRANDE GORGE BRIDGE IN TAOS COUNTY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million two hundred thousand dollars ($3,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal year 2019 to conduct a feasibility study and to plan, design and construct safety improvements, including an exterior barrier rail, to the Rio Grande Gorge bridge in Taos county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2019 shall revert to the general fund.
