SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to SENATE BILL 217, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Senator Cliff R. Pirtle

    1. On page 1, line 14, strike "CRIMINAL".

    2. On page 1, line 25, strike ", including" and insert in lieu thereof "from a pecan producer and includes".

    3. On page 2, line 19, strike "and".

    4. On page 2, between lines 19 and 20, insert the following new subsection:

         "H. "pecan producer" means a person who grows pecans; and".

    5. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.

    6. On page 3, lines 10 and 11, strike the colon and the paragraph designation "(1)".

    7. On page 3, line 14, strike "; and" and strike lines 15 through 21 up to the period.

    8. On page 6, line 17, strike "CRIMINAL".

    9. On page 6, line 23, strike "violation of" and insert in lieu thereof "person who violates".

    10. On page 6, line 24, strike "a violation of".

    11. On page 7, line 1, strike "shall be deemed a petty misdemeanor" and insert in lieu thereof "is guilty of a penalty assessment misdemeanor, and the penalty assessment is two hundred fifty dollars ($250)".
