AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CARLSBAD BRINE WELL REMEDIATION FUND.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-five million dollars ($35,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Carlsbad brine well remediation fund for expenditure in fiscal years 2019 through 2021 for remediation of the Carlsbad brine well. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.
