AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE STATE ROAD FUND FOR REMEDIATION OF THE CARLSBAD BRINE WELL.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the state road fund to the Carlsbad brine well remediation fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2019 and subsequent fiscal years for remediation of the Carlsbad brine well to maintain the integrity of adjacent roads. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the state road fund.
