A MEMORIAL

RECOGNIZING JOHN F. KREBSBACH FOR HIS YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE RESIDENTS OF NEW MEXICO.

 

     WHEREAS, John F. Krebsbach is a forensic scientist who has courageously and competently served the people of New Mexico by helping solve crimes and find justice for victims of crime through DNA analysis; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Krebsbach most recently served as the director of the New Mexico DNA identification system-administrative center, where he assisted the legislature with technical expertise and advice on how best to clear the backlog of testing of sexual assault kits and administer DNA analysis and identification programs; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Krebsbach received a master's degree in forensic science and a professional certificate in forensic science and advanced investigation from the university of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut, in 1991, immediately before beginning his work in New Mexico; and

     WHEREAS, it is through the quiet and competent work of professionals like John F. Krebsbach that the people's faith in government will be restored; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Krebsbach retired in December and will rightfully spend well-deserved time with his family;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that John F. Krebsbach be honored and thanked for the innumerable contributions he has made to the residents of the state of New Mexico; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be transmitted to John F. Krebsbach.
