AN ACT

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE VETERANS' SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR AN EDUCATIONAL AND RESTORATIVE PROGRAM FOR NEW MEXICO COMBAT VETERANS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the veterans' services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2018 to sponsor an educational and restorative program focusing on agriculture, technology and business for New Mexico combat veterans and community members. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2018 shall revert to the general fund.
