AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SERVICES AND SUPPORTS FOR GRANDPARENTS RAISING GRANDCHILDREN.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the aging and long-term services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2018 to create a statewide network of services and supports to grandparents raising grandchildren, including general support services, parent training, support groups, case management, social activities and enrichment activities for children. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2018 shall revert to the general fund.
