AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO FUND THE BLACK STUDENT UNION PROGRAM IN THE ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2018 to fund the black student union program in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2018 shall revert to the general fund.
