    Your STATE GOVERNMENT, INDIAN AND VETERANS' AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 344

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 2, line 12, strike "three" and insert in lieu thereof "one".

     2. On page 4, line 22, strike "eight" and insert in lieu thereof "seven".

     3. On page 4, line 22, after "that", strike the remainder of the line and insert in lieu thereof "a legacy student:".

     4. On page 4, strike lines 23 through 25 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof:

                     (a) attends a four-year, public post-secondary educational institution and successfully completes fifteen or more credit hours for each program semester;

                     (b) attends a two-year, public post-secondary educational institution and successfully completes twelve or more credit hours for each program semester; and

                     (c) maintains a grade-point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale; and".,

and thence referred to the EDUCATION COMMITTEE.
