HOUSE BILL 299

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 11, after the semicolon, strike the

remainder of the line, strike lines 12 and 13 and strike line 14 through the semicolon.

     2. On page 1, lines 19 through 24, strike Section 1 in its entirety.

     3. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.

     4. On page 7, strike line 7 in its entirety.

     5. On page 7, line 12, after the semicolon, insert:

""practitioner" also means a registered lay midwife licensed by the department of health who is certified or licensed in accordance with department of health rules to procure, carry and administer drugs that are subject to the New Mexico Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act;".

     6. On page 11, line 25, strike ""registered lay midwife",".
