    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 114

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 14, after "CHECKS", insert "AND PARTICIPATION IN THE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION PROCESS".

    2. On page 5, line 7, after "CHECKS", insert "AND PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS".

    3. On page 5, line 8, strike "must" and insert in lieu thereof "shall:".

    4. On page 5, strike lines 9 through 11 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new paragraphs:

             "(1) satisfactorily clear a fingerprint-based background check in the same manner as licensed school employees pursuant to Section 22-10A-5 NMSA 1978; and

             (2) participate in the performance evaluation process in the same manner as licensed school employees pursuant to Section 22-10A-19 NMSA 1978.".

    5. On page 5, line 12, strike "The" and insert in lieu thereof "Except as provided in Subsection A of this section, the".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
