AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 to increase the capacity of programs that provide trauma-informed services to children exposed to domestic violence. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
