AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT TO EMPLOY SOCIAL WORKERS FOR SCHOOLS IN THE ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT'S HIGHLAND AND MANZANO CLUSTERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 for the Albuquerque public school district to employ social workers to serve in schools in the Albuquerque public school district's Highland and Manzano clusters, including community schools. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
