AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN ONGOING PROGRAM IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART, MATHEMATICS AND HEALTH SCIENCES FOR PRE-COLLEGE MINORITY STUDENTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 to fund an ongoing pre-college minority students program that increases knowledge and skills in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics and health sciences and provides career exploration summer camps. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
