AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS DEPARTMENT FOR CONTINUING A NATIONAL WORK-ORIENTED ASSESSMENT SYSTEM FOR JOB SEEKERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the workforce solutions department for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 to continue in New Mexico a national reading and mathematics assessment system that measures the work-oriented skills of job seekers. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
