HOUSE BILL 171
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 10, line 8, after "by", insert "or on behalf of".
2. On page 10, line 17, after "employer", strike the remainder of the line and insert in lieu thereof "shall screen".
3. On page 10, line 19, after "subsection", insert "and shall hire or recommend for hire in accordance with the established hiring process for the affiliated public employer".
4. On page 10, line 21, after "county", insert "with a population over six hundred thousand", after "municipality", insert "with a population over fifty thousand" and after "within", strike "a" and insert in lieu thereof "that".
5. On page 11, line 2, strike "and".
6. On page 11, line 4, after "county", insert "with a population over six hundred thousand", after "municipality", insert "with a population over fifty thousand" and after "within", strike "a" and insert in lieu thereof "that".
7. On page 11, line 8, strike the period and closing quotation mark and insert in lieu thereof "; and".
8. On page 11, between lines 8 and 9, insert the following new paragraph:
"(10) an affiliated public employer that is recruiting for a chief of police may hire a retired certified law enforcement officer in accordance with the established hiring process for the affiliated public employer."".,
and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
